Next week your children will be given the opportunity to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt courtesy of Beechwood Primary School PTA.
Mrs Caswell will be leading the hunt and will work with one class at a time during the week.
Each child will find a plastic egg which they can swap for some chocolate, dairy free chocolate or one of Mrs Mummery’s crochet bunnies.

We are pleased to confirm that, for the first time, we will be setting up a Mother’s Day Market at school.
On Wednesday 27th March pupils will have the opportunity to purchase a gift or two for their Mum or a significant person in their lives.
If you would like your child to take part, please complete the order form that will be given out to classes today (Thursday) and return it with payment to the office by Friday 15th March. The order form is also attached and spare copies will be available in the PTA pigeon hole in the school office.
To make the event a success we do need a good number of volunteers to help us set up on Tuesday 26th March straight after school in the hall and to also run the event on Wednesday 27th March from school drop off to lunchtime.

Our annual PTA Quiz Night is taking place on Friday 8th March in the school hall. Tickets are now on sale from the school office.
Get a team together and bring your own drink and nibbles for a fun packed night with prizes up for grabs.

Hollywood Disco – Friday 15th February
Our first disco of the year is due to take place next Friday and as of now, we haven’t sold enough tickets for it to go ahead. We haven’t even sold enough to combine the two discos.
Tickets are on sale from the office and from the school gate on Monday morning.
We’ll make a final decision on Monday if we are going ahead.
It would be a shame to cancel as it’s going to be amazing!

A huge well done and thank you for taking part in the 5p Challenge run by the PTA, by the sounds of it, there was a bit of healthy competition with this one.
The results are in and we are thrilled to announce we raised £940.90.
With Wren’s raising the most with £158.45

Christmas raffle tickets will be coming home in book bags today or Monday.
Tickets are 50p and each child will receive a book containing 5 tickets.
Stubs and monies need to be returned to the office by Friday 7th December.
Additional tickets can be collected from the office and YES there will be lots of great prizes to be won.

Our first disco of the year will be a GLOW IN THE DARK DISCO!
There will be lights, music, dancing and games, as well as glow sticks, face paint, tattoos, sweets, snacks and drinks to purchase. Prices range from 20p – £1.50 and there will be something for everyone.
Foundation parents, you are welcome to stay with your child as their first disco can be a bit daunting for them.
Tickets will be on sale from Monday 1st – Friday 12th October. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance from the office and will not be available to purchase on the night.
Volunteers
As always, we need parents to help out and volunteer to run the various stalls.
Volunteers are required from 5:30pm to help move the supplies from the PTA garage to the hall. We can decorate and set up for the disco from 6pm once Handy Club has finished.

Beach Party Disco – Friday 6th July
Our last event of the school year and we want to go out on a high.
At the Beach Party Disco, pupils will be able to have a beach drink, try their hand at limbo and have a dance with their friends.
Tickets are available from the school office and from Breakfast/Handy club. Tickets must be purchased by Friday 29th June and will not be available to purchase on the door.

Rivermead Primary School and the 1st Woodley Scout Group will be holding their annual Firework Display on Friday 6th November.
Tickets are available from Beechwood – please send your details (how many tickets, child/children’s name) in a sealed envelope to the school office FAO Sarah Hill.
