Dear Parents,
A big thank you to all the parents that helped make the library visit a success. The children had a fabulous time listening to stories and looking at books.
We are continuing with our tricky words and sight words in class and are consolidating all the words they have learned so far. Can you practice reading the words at home?
For maths this week children have been counting 1-10. Children have been able to count out the corresponding objects and the have counted lots of our toys, beads, pegs in FS. Can you ask your child to count stairs, pots, tomatoes or anything else at home or out and about for you?
Children are busy in our Winter Wonderland writing letters to Santa, making decorations or creating intricate pictures for our art wall.
Please continue to practice our Christmas songs with your child. A slightly updated version is attached.
It is important as parents we take measures to protect our children online and always be vigilant when they are play games or watching you tube online. Inappropriate content can easily be accessed or viewed, sometimes children can be using an age related app or website when an inappropriate pop up can occur. Homework this week is a mini M booklet that will be given. This is to reinforce the sounds and to use some of the skillsets used in school to develop correct letter formation. As there are many sheets for your child this may take time to complete. Therefore we will be giving children a whole week to complete their homework and will give the work booklets every other week.
Reading books need to come to school with your child every day.

On Thursday 13th of December FS Children will be walking to the precinct in the morning to sing carols with the whole school.
In the afternoon FS children will be performing their very own Christmas sing along for you.
